ALAMOSA, Colo. –For the first time in school history, Plachy Hall and the Den hosted women's wrestling action for the first time on Thursday night. The Grizzlies dropped duals to No. 4 Colorado Mesa 45-4 and a 28-13 battle to Texas Woman's.
#4 Colorado Mesa 45, Adams State 4
The Mavericks benefitted from four forfeits to score wins in nine of the ten bouts in a 45-4 win over Adams State in a non-conference road dual.

Austria Holland gave Adams State an early boost with a technical fall win at 116 pounds over the No. 8 ranked Adriana Gomez. That was all they would get as the Mavericks won the next four matches with four of those going for pins.
No. 5 Holly Beaudoin had the lone technical fall in the stretch with a 10-0 win over
Trinity Perez at 136 pounds.
Texas Woman's 28, Adams State 13
The Grizzlies looked ready in the second dual as both teams traided forfeits at 109 and 116 pounds before the Grizzlies saw
Bella Devoto win a 4-0 decision before
Trinity Perez overcame a 4-2 hole for a fall in 2:10. The Pioneers won the rest of the matches.
