Adams State Lands Four on RMAC Academic Honor Roll, Van Valkenburg Named First Team

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference office announced the Women's Wrestling All-Academic teams, with Adams State's Angella Van Valkenburg earning First Team honors. The Grizzlies also placed four student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll.

Van Valkenburg, a senior from West Jordan, Utah, has compiled a 3.93 GPA in Business Administration. She also turned in a strong performance on the mat this season, placing sixth at the Super Region VI Championships at 160 pounds.

Joining Van Valkenburg on the Honor Roll were Bella Devoto (Sr., Biology), Abril Montes de Oca (Jr., Interdisciplinary Studies), and Katelyn Faczak (So., Communication and Media Studies).

To qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a 3.30 GPA and be in at least their third semester at their institution, while First Team selections must carry a minimum 3.50 GPA.
