ALAMOSA, Colo. – Adams State University volleyball's team has announced the signing of two players, Katie Bauer and Carys Norten for the 2023 campaihn.

Bauer comes to Adams State all the way from Greeley, Colorado, where she has lived her entire life. The youngest of two girls, she has been playing volleyball since kindergarten and still loves the game.

As a student at University High School, Bauer is a three-year varsity letter recipient. In her junior year as a starting middle hitter, she helped lead her team to its first ever state championship. As a senior, Bauer was a six-rotation outside hitter and was chosen to play in the All-State Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports Senior game and was also honored to be one of only seven girls in Division 3A to be chosen First Team All-State. She is looking forward to taking her volleyball career to the next level and is excited to play for Adams State University this fall.

Norten, a 6'0 middle blocker from Parker, Colo., is a three-year varsity letter at Lutheran High School, earning first team all-league, all-state honorable mention, CCGS and CHSCA all state team. Top 10 in the state of Colorado for hitting percentage. She was also team captain for her high school team and club team at Momentum Volleyball Club. So excited to be playing as a Grizzly next season.
