Colorado Springs, Colo. – Adams State University junior forward Avery Richards was named to the 2024 All-RMAC Honorable Mention list, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced on Friday. Richards' recognition highlights his standout performance in a competitive season for the Grizzlies.
Playing a pivotal role for Adams State, Richards appeared in all 16 matches, starting 15 of them. He was a consistent offensive threat, leading the team with three goals and contributing two assists. Known for his accuracy, Richards recorded 17 shots on goal out of 35 total attempts, showcasing his ability to create scoring opportunities.
"I'm very happy for Avery and all that he's done this season. It obviously wasn't the season we all hoped for but am very happy as a coach to have him nominated to the All-Conference team. I knew what type of player he was going to be when we both got to Adams in 2022 and he finally showed it this season so again, very proud of him and all that he accomplished this year."
