Eight Grizzlies Named to RMAC Academic Honor Roll

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Eight Adams State University football players were named to the 2024 RMAC Academic Honor Roll, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Tuesday.

To qualify, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have been enrolled at their institution for a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters. The Academic Honor Roll recognizes players who were not selected to the All-Academic First Team, which is determined by a vote of the conference's sports information directors.

The Adams State honorees are Brysen Gardner (So., business administration), Daniel Herrera Alfaro (So., sociology), Seth Shaw (So., sports psychology), Labarrio Mays (So., kinesiology: sports and recreation management), Seth Lawalker-Bosie (Jr., kinesiology: sports and recreation management), Zach Ray (So., kinesiology: sports and recreation management), Christian Toeleiu (Sr., kinesiology: sports and recreation management), and Chase Nelson (So., kinesiology: sports and recreation management).

Jake Martinelli of South Dakota Mines and Charlie Smith of Colorado Mesa were named the 2024 RMAC Academic Players of the Year for offense and defense, respectively.
