GAME 1: FHSU 6, ASU 2
The Grizzlies opened action with a bang as
Matt Bathauer nailed the fourth pitch he saw to right center to plate the first two runs,
Christian Altamirano was on base after taking an 0-2 pitch to center for a single to open the game, of the season.Â
Starting pitcher
Connor Murray allowed the game to be tied on a two-run home run in the bottom of the second. He then was charged with the four runs, three via home runs, as the score was 6-2.
Relief pitcher
Zach Radigan came in and cleaned up the game facing seven batters and surrendering just one hit and one walk.
GAME 2: ASU 16, FHSU 14 (10 inn.)
The second game saw Bathauer again nail a bomb to right center, this time a solo shot for the early lead.
Adams State squandered the lead and trailed 4-1 before an offensive outburst lifted the Grizzlies. Adams State scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning including a third home run by Bathauer.Â
After allowing the Tigers to cut the lead to two, 7-5, in the bottom of the inning, the Grizzlies scored seven runs in the top of the eighth to put the game away.
However, the bullpen didn't stop the Tigers from erupting for nine runs in the bottom of the inning to tie the game and force an extra stanza.Â

The Grizzlies remain in Pueblo and close out the weekend series with the Tigers on Friday with the exact same doubleheader, however, the Grizzlies will be the home team on the scoreboard.
