SWIM | Grizzlies finish Friday at RMAC

Grand Junction, Colo. — The Adams State swim and dive teams competed in day 4 of the RMAC Swimming and Diving Championships Friday. 

At the end of day 4 the women are sitting in 9th place with 104 points and the men are sitting in 6th place with 97 points. 

Bryce Scott and 3 other Grizzlies competed in the 500 yard freestyle and placed 20th and 22nd - 24th. In the 100 yard backstroke Cody Natali placed 21st and Connor Matthews placed 23rd. Three Grizzlies placed 19th - 21st in the 100 yard breastroke. Three Grizzlies also placed 18th - 20th in the 200 yard butterfly. To wrap up the day of competition the Grizzlies placed 6th and 14th in the 200 yard freestyle. 

Kennedy Larson and Kierra Gutierrez swam in the 500 yard freestyle and placed 30th and 34th in the prelims. In the 100 yard backstroke Peyton Schwartz placed 18th, Anna Zimmer placed 25th and Kaycey Stephan placed 28th. In the 100 yard breaststroke Sammy Buttermore 22nd. To wrap up the day of competition the Grizzlies placed 9th 200 yard freestyle. 

The Grizzlies will continue racing Saturday for the last day of the Championships.
