SWIM | Grizzlies close RMACs

Grand Junction, Colo. — The Adams State swim and dive teams competed in day 5, the final day, of the RMAC Swimming and Diving Championships Friday. 

At the end of scoring the women placed 9th place with 130 points and the men placed 6th place with 130 points. 

Payton Bowman placed 19th on the 1650 yard freestyle and Cole Haight finished 21st. Brayden Stalcup placed 25th, George Lutkenhaus placed 28th, and 6 more Grizzlies placed 30th - 35th in the 100 yard freestyle. In the 200 yard backstroke Cody Natali placed 16th and two more Grizzlies placed 19th and 20th. The Grizzlies also finished 19th - 23rd in the 200 yard breaststroke. Finally, to complete the competition the Grizzlies finished 6th in the 400 yard freestyle relay. 

Kennedy Larson placed 26th in the 1650 yard freestyle and teammate Sammy Buttermore placed 31st. Jocelyn Jones placed 25th and three teammates placed 37th - 39th in the 100 yard freestyle. In the 200 yard backstroke Peyton Schwartz placed 18th while Hannah Zimmer placed 25th. To wrap up the day and championships the Grizzlies placed 9th in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
