CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Adams State University witnessed its inaugural representation by a women's wrestler at the national level as freshman
Austria Holland competed at the 2024 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships held at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena over the weekend.
After receiving an opening round bye, Holland fell 14-7 to McKendree's Julia Vidallon.
In the consolation rounds, Holland showcased her resilience, securing a fall v over Gannon's Julia Cubias.
On Saturday morning, she started strong with a 4-0 decision win against Maddie Mackenzie of Simon Fraser before unfortunately being eliminated from the tournament with a 10-0 tech fall loss to King University's Melanie Mendoza.
