Adams State Football Turns the Page with Spring Practices

Alamosa, Colo. – A new era is set to begin for Adams State Football as the Grizzlies kick off their spring practices on Friday. Coming off a difficult 0-11 season, the program is looking to turn the page under new head coach Levi Gallas, who was hired in December to revitalize the team and establish a fresh culture.

With the arrival of Gallas, the Grizzlies are embracing a new philosophy and an intense focus on fundamentals. Spring practices will be the first opportunity for the team to lay the foundation for the 2025 season, as returning players and newcomers look to make an impression on the coaching staff.

This spring a group of early enrollees and transfers will take the field for the first time in a Grizzly uniform, aiming to bolster the roster's depth and competition.

As Adams State embarks on this rebuilding journey, optimism is beginning to take hold in Alamosa. The road back won't be easy, but with new leadership and a renewed sense of purpose, the Grizzlies are ready to take their first steps toward a brighter future.

With spring ball practices starting Friday, the Grizzlies will be hitting the field Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with practices beginning at 4 p.m. All practices will be open to the public. Adams state is following along with many division one schools and has decided not to have a spring game.
