Adams State Men's Swim Selected to Finish in Sixth in RMAC Preseason Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — In the RMAC Men's Swimming and Diving Preseason Coaches' Poll, Adams State is picked to finish sixth. The Grizzlies collected 6 total points in the poll after a decent 2024-25 season in which they had some solid meets they can build on going into the 2025-26 season.

Looking at the rest of the conference, Colorado Mesa swept the preseason poll, collecting the maximum of 25 points they could receive. Unsurprisingly, Colorado Mesa was selected to finish at the top of the conference as they are the defending and nine-time RMAC champions. Along with their continued success, Colorado Mesa also has 4 All-RMAC preseason selections that will give them momentum going into the 2025-26 season. Rounding out the top three for the conference after Colorado Mesa are Colorado School of Mines in second place and Simon Fraser in third place. Colorado School of Mines collected 1 first-place vote, 3 second-place votes, and 1 third-place vote, while Simon Fraser collected 3 second-place votes and 1 third-place vote. Colorado School of Mines collected 20 points, and Simon Fraser collected 17 points. Rounding out the rest of the conference is Oklahoma Christian in fourth with 14 points and 3 third-place votes, with Texas Permian Basin following in fifth with 8 points, and Adams State in sixth with 6 points.

The 2025-26 Men's Swimming season has already begun with Adams State competing last weekend in the 3rd Annual Dan France Continental Divide Cup. The Grizzlies did not compete against anybody in the event, but still recorded times that they can build upon as the season rolls on. The Grizzlies' next meet will be the Intermountain Shootout held by Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado, on October 4th and 5th. The two-day event will be the first time this season the Grizzlies will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, and will be a great opportunity for the Grizzlies to start their season off with a bang as they slowly gear up for the RMAC Swimming and Diving Championships that will be held at the end of the year, from February 10th through the 14th.
