Adams State Softball Projected to 12th in RMAC Preseason Poll

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Adams State Softball picked to finish 12th in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.

Adams State finished the 2025 season 5-51 (3-41 RMAC) and looked to improve upon last year's finish after only graduating one senior. The Grizzlies will open their season again at the Los Lunas Tournament where they picked up their first win of the 2025 season against Sul Ross State who they will face again this year. 

Colorado Christian (7) was picked No. 1 overall with 117 points, followed closely by Colorado Mesa (3) with 109 points. MSU Denver (2) was the final team receiving first place votes with 102 points in third place. 

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs earned the No. 4 spot with 87 points, highlighted by five third-place votes, while CSU Pueblo rounded out the top five with 75 points. 

Colorado School of Mines claimed sixth place with 68 points, edging out Black Hills State at No. 7 with 64 points. Regis checked in at No. 8 with 57 points, including one second-place vote. New Mexico Highlands (35), Fort Lewis (32), Chadron State (30), and Adams State (16) completed the preseason poll.

All RMAC softball games broadcast by its 12 softball-sponsoring member institutions will only be available for purchase via a single-game pass or a monthly or annual subscription. Revenue generated by the network will be redistributed to the league's membership to enhance their programs.

Additionally, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference is presenting its third RMAC Network "Peak Pricing" sale, beginning Thursday and available until Friday, Jan. 30. Purchasing options and pricing for individual RMAC Championships will be announced closer to each event.

The grizzlies will head to Los Lunas, N.M. Jan, 30 to face off against Western New Mexico, West Texas A&M, Sul Ross State, and UT Permian Basin for the Los Lunas Tournament.
