ALAMOSA, Colo. (May 3, 2015) – Former Adams State University defensive back,
Cariel Brooks, has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
As a senior for Adams State in 2014, Brooks registered 40 tackles (30 solo), 14 pass break ups, and three interceptions. The Miami, Florida native was named to the All-RMAC First Team and D2football.com All-American Second Team after the 2014 season. In January, Brooks showcased his skills at the Medal of Honor Bowl in Charleston, South Carolina. As a member of the National team he totaled three tackles, two pass break ups, and one interception during the all-star game featuring some of the country's best collegiate players.
Stacked up against other players in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), Brooks ranked third in passes defended (17) and third in break ups (14).
Brooks joins an Arizona Cardinals defense that ranked 24
th in total defense and 29
th in passing defense a year ago.
