ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Adams State Volleyball team is fighting for a berth in the RMAC Tournament in their final game of the season. The Grizzlies play on the road at Fort Lewis Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
The Grizzlies are coming off a perfect weekend on the road. Adams State defeated New Mexico Highlands Friday afternoon in a tightly contested five sets, 3-2. The Grizzlies then went on to defeat CSU-Pueblo in just four sets on Saturday, 3-1.
Adams State has an overall record at 11-14 for the season. The Grizzlies are 8-9 in conference play this season.
Adams State currently sit at No. 9 in the RMAC standings in the final week of the season. The Grizzlies can secure a berth in the RMAC Tournament with a victory over Fort Lewis in their final match of the season.
Fort Lewis is coming off the weekend with a split in the team's two matches. The Skyhawks made quick work of CSU-Pueblo in four sets, 3-1, Friday evening. However, the team went on to drop their match against New Mexico Highlands in three sets, 3-0.The Skyhawks defeated the Grizzlies in straight sets, 3-0 earlier this year on Oct. 2 in Plachy Hall.
The Skyhawks are 9-12 in the season. Fort Lewis has a 9-8 record in the RMAC this season.
