ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Swim teams are set to host their season openers this weekend. The Grizzlies will go head-to-head with Colorado Mesa Friday, Oct. 25 at 12 p.m. and then take on Colorado School of Mines Saturday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m.
 
 As this is the Men's first year at Adams State, this will be the beginning of fresh RMAC Competition on both Friday and Saturday. The Women on the other hand are 2-4 against Colorado Mesa, historically, and 4-9 verses Colorado School of Mines.
 
Adams State squared off with Colorado Mesa last year at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season, where the Grizzlies fell 44-161. The top swimmers from that meet were Megan Dudden, landing the Grizzlies first top tier finish in the 200 IM. Dudden also competed in the 100 Breaststroke, where she landed 3rd place. Claudia Garcia was also a top competitor for the Grizzlies, finishing in 2nd in the 50 Free.
 
Facing Colorado School of Mines, the Grizzlies fell last year 206-58 when they traveled to Golden, Colorado. Dudden again, was the top competitor for the Grizzlies, gaining their first victory of the day in the 100 Fly. Garcia took another 2nd place finish in the 50 Free. Another top swimmer for Adams State was Madison Rincon, where she finished 3 in the 50 Fly.
 
The Grizzlies are looking for an exciting weekend to splash in to RMAC competition.
