GUNNISON, Colo. – The Adams State women's swimming team competed in the WCU vs. Adams dual meet on Saturday.  The final score ended WCU - 268, Adam's State - 18. 

The women competed 17 times across 11 events and placed in the top 3 three times. 

The Grizzlies placed 4th in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 4:25.35. Kennedy Larson placed 2nd in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 12:55.51. Peyton Schwartz placed 6th in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:14.84.

Hannah Zimmer and Kaycey Stephan placed 6th (1:09.86) and 8th (1:14.96) in the 100 yard backstroke. In the 100 yard breaststroke Anjali Friedman placed 4th (1:13.48) and Zimmer placed 8th (1:32.30).

In the 50 yard freestyle Jocelyn Jones placed 5th (26.61) and was followed by teammates Kierra Gutierrez in 7th and Kaycey Stephan in 8th. Peyton Schwartz got 4th in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:22.56 and the Grizzlies placed 5th-8th in the 500 yard freestyle. Jocelyn Jones placed 2nd in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:05.74 and the Grizzlies rounded off the meet in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:05.23, placing 3rd. 

Adams State returns to action this weekend at Colorado College.
