ALAMOSA, Colo. -- The Adams State swim teams hosted Western Colorado University this afternoon at Plachy Hall, with the women's team falling to Western Colorado University by a 1203 to 308 tally.
The men's team also raced but competed against itself in the meet.
Anjali Friedman posted a pair of 3
rd-place finishes, coming in at 1:13.70 in the 100 yard breaststroke and 2:25.11 in the 200 yard IM.
Peyton Schwartz also placed 3
rd in her 100 yard backstroke event (1:04.00), as did
Jocelyn Jones in her 50 yard free (26.59) and Katy Rose Heldstab in the 100 yard butterfly (1:06.71).
In the 200 freestyle relay, the quartet of Jones,
Ryan Bustos, Schwartz and
Lena Brown teamed for a 3
rd place finish in a time of 1:48.17.
The Grizzlies compete next at the two-day Intermountain Shootout hosted by Colorado Mesa University, beginning on September 30.
