PUEBLO, Colo.—The Adams State University Women's Swimming team will travel to Pueblo on Saturday to open up the 2020-21 campaign with a tri meet with the host CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves and the Western Colorado Mountaineers.
Originally the meet was supposed to include the men, however, due to COVID-19 precautions, the men will stay at home and have an intersquad meet at home instead.
Saturday's meet at CSU-Pueblo is set to take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Sam Jones Aquatic Center on the ThunderWolves campus.
The Grizzlies will head into the meet under first-year head coach
Riley Ceglowski, who replaced Quint Seckler, who was the head coach for the previous three years. Ceglowski was the assistant coach for the Grizzly teams the last two seasons and was a swimmer for the Grizzlies from 2015-18.
Last season, Adams State's women finished eighth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships with 180 points.
Senior
Megan Dudden and sophomore Natasha Murphy are slated to be leaders for the Grizzlies this season. Dudden earned points for her squad last season in the 200 yard IM and the 400 yard IM.
The Grizzly swimmers will be back in action on Nov. 19-21 when they travel to Colorado Mesa University for the A3 Performance Invitational.
