WSWIM | Adams State falls to Western 149-93

GUNNISON – 113 days after opening the season at Colorado State University Pueblo, the Adams State University women's swim team finally hit the pool for their second dual of the season on Sunday. The Grizzlies traveled to Gunnison for a dual with the41 Mountaineers. Western Colorado University won the dial 149-93.

Adams State won three of the 15 events. The Grizzlies saw Olivia Beames and Natasha Murphey tie for first place in the 100-yard butterfly as the two posted identical times of 1:06.29 while Megan Dudden won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:22.73. The quartet of Claudia Garcia, Kyler James, Davin Ruggles and Beames also won the 400-yard freestyle relay as they teamed up for a time of 3:57.92.

Adams State is currently scheduled to close out their season at the RMAC Championships, which are set to take place from Feb. 17-Feb. 20 in Grand Junction, Colo.
