SWIM| The Grizzlies have a great performance at Western

ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies traveled to Gunnison, Colorado to swim against Western Colorado. The Women's team swam against Western's Women's team, but the Men's team just competed against themselves.

Overall, the Grizzlies lost as they received 89 to the Mountaineers 158 points, but the Grizzlies still competed. They placed top three in a few races. In the Women 200 Yard Freestyle, Ryan Bustos placed first with a time of 2:06.98. Peyton Schwartz placed second in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:04.50 and placed first in the 200 Yard Backstroke with the final time of 2:21.46. With a time of 1:12.09, Anjali Friedman placed first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, with a time of 2:36.32, she placed first in the 200 Yard Freestyle and placed first

in the 200 Yard Breaststroke. Kyler James placed first in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a final time of 2:24.60. Hope Christensen, with a time of 25.72, placed first in the 50 Yard Freestyle and Davin Ruggles placed second in the 100 Yard Freestyle with 58.87.

The men only competed against themselves as there is no Men's Swim team for Western Colorado. The Men's team will compete against Colorado College on Saturday, December 11th and then Colorado School of Mines on Saturday, January 15th.

For the women's, the Grizzlies will travel back to Gunnison to compete again on Saturday, December 4th and will travel with the Men's team to Colorado College on Saturday, December 11th.
