SWIM | Grizzlies take on Colorado School of Mines

ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzles swam in Colorado School of Mines' Sprint Eliminator this past weekend. The Grizzlies swam well, but not well enough to beat Colorado School of Mines.

In the finals the Grizzlies finished with some great times on both the Men's and Women's side. In the Women's Yard Butterfly, Anjali Friedman had a time of 29.65, meanwhile for the Men's 50 Yard Butterfly, Gilbert Benton raced a time of 26.87. Ryan Bustos had a final time of 32.07 in the Women's 50 Yard Backstroke and on the Men's side Connor Mathews had a final time of 29.49. Friedman had another great race in the 50 Yard Breaststroke as she had a time of 34.49. In the Men's 50 Yard Breaststroke Benton's time was 28.67. Hope Christensen finished the highest out of all the Grizzlies by finishing in second place for the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle, her time was 25.00. George Lutkenhaus Jr finished the Men's freestyle with a time of 23.61.

Up next, the Grizzlies will be traveling to Colorado Spring to compete in the Colorado Classic.
