SWIM | Adams falls to Western

ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Swim team headed to Gunnison to take on the Mountaineers this weekend. Both the Men's and Women's team went, but only the Women's team competed against Western Colorado. The final score was 184 points for Western and 36 points for Adams State.

In the Women's 100 Yard Backstroke Peyton Shwartz finished in first place with a time of 1:03.71. Anjali Friedman came in second place in the Women's 100 Yard Breaststroke with a final time of 1:13.84. She also came in third place in the Women's 100 Yard Butterfly with a final time of 1:05.69.

The Grizzlies finished in both second and third place in the Women's 50 Yard Freestyle. Hope Christensen finished in second with a time of 25.92 and Kaycey Stevenson finished in third with a time of 28.04. Samantha Buttermore came in third place in the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle with a final time of 6:48.24.

Up next, the Grizzlies head to Albuquerque, New Mexico to take on the University of New Mexico on February 3rd at 9:00 a.m. Both the Men's and Women's swim team will be going and competing.
