GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Adams State men's and women's relay teams took center stage on day 3 of the Colorado Mesa University Invite, with three teams finishing in the top 10 to close this afternoon's session at El Pomar Natatorium.
In the last event of the day, the men's 400 medley relay team of Connor Matthews,
Gilbert Benton, Derek Cooley, and Logan Herrick placed 6
th in a time of 3:43.93, besting teammates Kaden Stott, Sebastian Blevins, Indiana Steving, and Joshua Jones, who finished in 7
th in 3:53.41.
One event prior, the women's 400 medley relay quartet of Peyton Schwartz, Anjali Friedman, Katy Rose Heldstab, and Lena Brown claimed a 10
th-place finish, touching the wall in 4:11.09.
Individually, all five Adams State entrants in the men's 200 yard freestyle qualified for the afternoon final, with Tucker Meeks finishing 10
th in a time of 1:48.38.
