MSOC | Devarennes, Maldonado named to All-Academic Honor Roll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Adams State senior Max Devarennes and junior Gabriel Maldonado have been named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic Honor Roll. The teams were announced by conference officials on Monday.
 
First Team All-Academic members, were voted on by the conference's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration for first team status, a student-athlete must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters. To qualify for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a 3.30 GPA and been an active student.
 
Devarennes, who hails from Arlington, Texas, has a 3.51 GPA and is majoring in Buiness Administration.
 
Maldonado is a a junior forward from Albuquerque, N.M. and holds a 3.63 GPA in mathematical science.
 
The Orediggers earned a league-best three first-team selections in Sprauer, Grant Bell and Azad Iliozer, while Colorado State University Pueblo and Metropolitan State University of Denver each account for two honorees. Colorado Mesa, Fort Lewis, Regis and University of Colorado Colorado Springs round out the first team with one roster spot apiece.
 
Of the 11-man first-team roster, Colorado Mesa's David Peters, CSU Pueblo's Kenshin Uneo, MSU Denver's Bryson Chiles and Ross Miller and Regis' Kristian Hooker hold a perfect 4.0 GPA.
