ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies participated in day two of the RMAC Championship in Grand Junction. Both the Men's and Women's competed in this meet.
On the Women's side
Kyler James swam a final time of 1:01.79 Women 100 Yard Butterfly which landed her in 19th place. In 22nd place, Anjali Friedman finished with a final time of 1:02.47.
Ryan Bustos had a final time of 1:04.45 which landed her in 28th and right behind her is Katy Rose Heldstab with a final time of 1:05.10. Peyton Schwartz finished with a final time of 2:10.99 in the 200 Yard Freestyle, which landed her in 32nd place.
Samantha Buttermore finished with a time of 2:21.67 and got in 35th place. In the 400 Yard Medley Relay, the Grizzlies came in 6 th place with a time of 4:12.23. Peyton Schwartz led the relay, next was Anajali Friedman, swimming the third leg was
Kyler James, and finishing it off was Hope Christensen.
For the Men's,
Gilbert Benton swam a final tie of 56.62 in the 100 Yard Butterfly. This landed him in 19th place, with
Joshua Jones right behind with a final time of 57.79. For the 200 Yard Freestyle,
George Lutkenhaus Jr. had a final time of 1:52.56, making him finish in 17th place. Indiana Sterving finished in 18th place with a time of 1:56.49.
Day three for the competition is set to begin tomorrow, February 11th in Grand Junction, Colorado. The fourth and final day is February 12th.
