DURANGO, Colo. – Three Adams State golfers wrapped up competition at the Nick Turner Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Although the Grizzlies did not post a team score, their individual performances stood out.
Keona Weirick led the team, finishing 29th overall with a two-day total of 173 (+29), carding an 84 on Day 1 and an 89 on Day 2.
Taylor Butler followed closely, finishing 34th with a combined score of 179 (+35), including an 84 in the first round and a 95 in the second.
Anastasia Sanchez rounded out the trio in 39th place, finishing with a total of 237 strokes (+93), shooting 117 on Day 1 and 120 on Day 2.
"Each player showed flashes of their best golf in the first round. It was exciting to see them realize their potential," said Head Coach Jon Atencio. "Now we just need to work on building consistency."
This event marked the final tournament of the fall season for the Grizzlies. They will return to action in the spring.
