Marshall, Mo. – Adams State's four remaining wrestlers battled through Day 2 of the Missouri Valley Open on Saturday but were unable to wrestle back to placement.
At 145 pounds, Angella Van Valkenburg entered the day in Consolation Round 5 after a strong opening day that included a tech fall. Her run ended with an 8–2 decision loss to Oklahoma State's Kaiulani Garcia.
At 117 pounds, Flavia Nagatani continued on the consolation side after forfeiting her Round 4 match on Friday. She was eliminated by a 10–0 tech fall against Central Methodist's Yusneiry Agrazal.
At 103 pounds, Mia Siqueiros opened her day with a dominant 16–2 tech fall over Ottawa's Aynsley Fink, before falling to McKendree's Katey Valdez in her next match.
At 207 pounds, Taina Uasike closed out the tournament after dropping a tech fall to Grand View's Andjela Prijovic.
The Grizzlies will host Simon Fraser and Fort Hays State to open their dual schedule on December 1st starting at 5 p.m.
