Boulder City, Nev. – The Adams State women's golf team continued to battle through hot, demanding conditions during the opening rounds of the RMAC Championships at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
The Grizzlies will not appear in the team standings heading into Tuesday's final round, as they do not have a complete team score due to one golfer not completing Round 2. Still, the individual performances have provided bright moments as the tournament winds down.
Taylor Butler has led the way for Adams State, posting rounds of 81 (+9) and 80 (+8). Her steady play on the back nine in Round 2—where she recorded all but three pars—helped her climb one spot on the individual leaderboard.
Keona Warick bounced back from a slow start in Round 1 to card a 79 on Monday, highlighted by a birdie on a par-3. Her composure down the stretch stood out, and she moved up four places in the standings heading into the final round.
Anastasia Sanchez, continued to show resilience despite challenging rounds of 108 (+36) and 112 (+40).
Adams State will look to close out the season on a strong note Tuesday, with tee times beginning at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring is available here.
