COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Preseason Coach's Poll for Women's Golf was released Tuesday at 12 PM, announced by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Adams State Women's Golf team was voted to finish in 10th place in the Preseason Poll. The Grizzlies received 10 points in the Preseason Poll going into the 2025 season after a very up-and-down 2024 season.
Looking at the rest of the conference, Colorado State University Pueblo has been named the favorite to win the RMAC tournament for the 2025-26 season, receiving 80 of the 81 possible points. CSU Pueblo received 8 first-place votes and 1 second-place vote after the ThunderWolves had won back-to-back RMAC Women's Golf Championships. Rounding out the rest of the top five was Colorado Christian in second with 1 first-place vote, 5 second-place votes, and 3 third-place votes, giving them 70 points. In third is Westminster with 66 points, including 1 first-place vote, 3 second-place votes, and 3 third-place votes. Fourth place was Colorado Mesa with 60 points, including 1 second-place vote and 4 third-place votes. Rounding out the top five is MSU Denver, which received 45 points.
Fort Lewis, in sixth place with 44 points, Chadron State, in seventh place with 30 points, South Dakota Mines, in eighth place with 25 points, Black Hills State, in ninth place with 20 points, and Adams State, in tenth place with 10 points, round out the rest of the conference.
The Adams State Women's Golf team will look to have a rebound year this year with 4 new Freshman women who will look to add to the depth of the Golf Team and overall production level. There is a lot of potential with this year's team. The Grizzlies will look to take advantage of this potential and have a great 2025-26 season. The Adams State's season will kick off with the Powder Horn Invitational, which will be held September 15th and 16th in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Adams State will look to finish the year strong, giving them the opportunity to compete at the season-end tournament at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the host of the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship.
