Adams State Women's Swim Picked to Finish Ninth in RMAC Preseason Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — In the RMAC preseason Women's Swim poll, the Adams State Women's Swim team is picked to finish ninth. The Grizzlies received 11 points in the preseason poll after an up-and-down 2024-25 season. The Grizzlies will look to build on last year's season and make a run throughout the year that will move them up the RMAC rankings.

Looking at the rest of the conference, Colorado Mesa was a unanimous favorite to win the 2025-26 RMAC women's swimming and diving championships. Colorado Mesa returns a multitude of huge pieces as they nearly swept the 2025 Preseason All-RMAC team with 14 of the 16 individuals recognized for each event. As well, Colorado Mesa returns the Player of the Year, as well as 5 returning event champions from the 2024-25 season. Outside of Colorado Mesa, you have Simon Fraser in second place, receiving 1 first-place vote, 6 second-place votes, and 1 third-place vote, giving them 56 points. In third place is Colorado School of Mines with a total of 49 points. Mines received 3 second-place votes and 3 third-place votes. Rounding out the top five is Oklahoma Christian in fourth with 5 third-place votes and a total of 44 points, and Western Colorado in fifth place with 34 total points.

Following the top five, you have CSU Pueblo in sixth with 27 points, Nebraska-Kearney in seventh with 21 points, Texas-Permian Basin in eighth with 18 points, and the Grizzlies rounding out the conference in ninth with 11 points.

The 2025-26 swimming season has already begun with the Grizzlies having competed in their first meet last weekend in which they competed against Western Colorado University, University of Nebraska Kearney, and Colorado State University Pueblo in the 3rd Annual Dan France Continental Divide Cup. The Grizzlies next meet will be on October 4th and 5th at the Intermountain Shootout held by Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado.
