Alamosa, Colo. – The Adams State women's wrestling team fell to Colorado Mesa 30-18 on Senior Day, scoring points in four bouts, including three wins on the mat and an injury forfeit at 145 pounds.
The Grizzlies picked up victories at 103, 117 and 138 pounds before earning their final points via injury forfeit at 145.
Mia Siquerios got Adams State on the board early at 103 pounds, recording a four-point takedown before securing a 12-2 technical fall over Kinlee Brandley in 1:35 to score four team points.
At 117 pounds, Flavia Nagatani responded after an early 2-0 deficit, rattling off six straight points before adding eight more to earn a 14-4 technical fall in 2:19.
Senior Bella Devoto, the lone senior honored for the Grizzlies, competed at 131 pounds and was ultimately defeated by technical fall, 11-0, in 3:46.
McKenna Hendrickson delivered another strong performance at 138 pounds, earning five team points with a fall in 2:17.
Adams State's final points came at 145 pounds, where Dakota Hull picked up five team points following an injury forfeit at the 0:53 mark.
The Grizzlies will now turn their attention to the RMAC Championships on Jan. 31 at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
