COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Adams State senior defender Ashlynn Mustain earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.
Mustain helped anchor an Adams State back line that did not allow a goal during the Grizzlies' season-opening road trip. Adams State defeated Wayland Baptist 2-0 on Thursday before earning a 1-0 victory over Sul Ross State on Saturday.
The Falcon, Colorado, native started both matches and played 153 minutes as the Grizzlies limited their opponents to seven shots on goal. Adams State opened the season 2-0 for the second consecutive year.
Mustain enters her second season with the Grizzlies after starting all 20 matches in 2025. She played 1,543 minutes and contributed three goals and two assists during her first season at Adams State.
The weekly award is the first RMAC honor of the 2026 season for Adams State women's soccer.
