After conceding the first set to the Skyhawks, the Grizzlies witnessed Fort Lewis jump out to a fast start. FLC hit with a .500 hitting percentage in the first set, but the Grizzly defense settled in thanks to an outstanding defensive performance from standout
Mallory Grimsrud. She led the team with eight total blocks and played a significant role in stifling the Skyhawk attack. Moving on from the first set, the Grizzlies only allowed FLC to hit with a .187 hitting percentage for the rest of the game.
