Won Adams State’s first-ever cross national cross country championship
Team was under direction of interim head coach Larry Jeffryes, selected as NAIA Coach of the Year, while Dr. Joe I. Vigil was away on sabbatical
Assistant coaches were Dannie and Teddy Makris
NAIA Championship was held in Liberty, Mo.
Adams State finished with team score of 196 to defeat runner-up Eastern New Mexico (210)
Team members were Steve Vining (12th), Tim Ramey (17th), David Wood (41st), Milt Place (67th), Mark Weeks (85th), Norm Roberts (99th) and Pablo Vigil (134th)
Team inducted into RMAC Hall of Fame in 2006
Vigil was inducted into Adams State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006 as well
