A two-time All-American for Adams State, Dave Smith was a leader on the 1989 and 1990 offensive line that led the nation in total offense and passing offense. He was a member of the 1988 National Championship Runner-Up team that was also the RMAC Champions in 1989, as well as the 1987 Aztec Bowl Championship team. Smith was a hard worker that set a work ethic in the weight room, benching more than 350 pounds and squatting over 600.
