A record-breaking wide receiver, Chad Hovasse left an indelible mark on Adams State football. The 2018 NCAA statistical champion in receiving yards per game, Hovasse was a nightmare for opposing defenses and the definition of a complete student-athlete. He was named second team All-America by both the Associated Press and the AFCA, and was a 2017 Harlon Hill Trophy candidate—awarded to the top player in Division II football. In addition to breaking Adams State's all-time records in receptions and receiving yards, Hovasse also earned 2017 RMAC Academic Offensive Player of the Year honors and was recognized by the NSCA as a strength and conditioning All-American.
