Adams State University

Phil Castillo led the ‘Perfect Team’ to its first NCAA Division II National Championship in 1992 in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. He was the ninth individual cross country champion in Adams State history, leading his teammates to the only perfect score of 15 in a NCAA history. Castillo was a nine-time All-American for Adams State.
